Rocking the Night Away

Bob is still out of town so how did I spend my Friday night? I was blessed to spend the evening with my favorite 20 month old. We played basketball, read a few books, and then we rocked the night away.

Caden and I. (Not the best picture quality since it was taken with the camera phone.)

I don't think there is a more peaceful moment than when a baby is asleep in your arms. I love this time with Caden. This little boy has stolen a piece of my heart. He is so sweet and lovable.

I'm not the only one who loves this little boy. When Bob found out I was watching Caden on Friday he asked if EF and DF could move their date night. I told him they were taking Cole and Kristen to a football game and I don't think we could convince the school to change a game just so he could see the little man.

Photos from Bob

Bob has been in Nebraska since Saturday and he sent me these pictures today of his 2nd cousins. (taken by his camera phone)

"Wal Mart sells mermaids" (Kevin with his mermaid)

Kevin smiling for "the brother" (that's what he calls Bob)

"Starting them young" Charlene with her Starbucks drink.

Hmm?

So Bob just called to see if I received the pictures he sent me on our new toys (blackberries). I told him yes and he said "alright then send me a message bye."

Hmm. So does this mean he doesn't want to talk anymore? And instead of sending him a message back why am I blogging about this? Too much technology in my life?

Grandma Ladd

Bob's grandma Ladd went to be with the Lord on 9/25/08. I had the honor of meeting her when we were in Omaha for Christmas. She was such a sweetheart with a soft voice and eyes that spoke of love and gratitude. You will be missed Grandma Ladd.

Happy Birthday Maddox

Today Maddox is three!

His hobbies include:
  • chewing on Mia's ears
  • tearing the eyes out of the stuffed animals with surgical precision
  • climbing the retaining wall
  • barking at dogs as they walk by
  • eating various items (from the collar that Mia wears to duvets)
  • snuggling with his humans (or any other human near him)
  • hanging out at Starbucks
