Saying Goodbye

I went back to El Paso to say my final goodbye to my grandma.  As expected it was hard seeing her one last time.  On one hand I'm grateful she's no longer in pain but on the other its hard to imagine life without her.

It was nice seeing everybody again but also very bittersweet as this was the last time for us to gather as a family at grandma's house.

Grandma - You will be missed!

Tuesday morning I woke up to the news that my grandma had gone to be with the Lord.  While I'm grateful she's no longer suffering I'm heartbroken that she's gone.

A sweet moment between my grandma and Zane.  (My dad accidentally stepped in front of the camera.)

Talking with Zoe.

So happy to see Zane.

These pictures are from the last time my kids saw their great grandma back in July of 2015.

Snow

Sunday morning we woke up to snow.  The kids wanted to go sledding so we put on all of our snow gear and headed outside.  Thank God we are able to walk out into our backyard and go sledding.

Christmas Tree

On Saturday morning the Bob took the boys to pick out a tree.  He told me Zane got out of the car and spotted the one he wanted.  It's a little big but that's alright we will take it.

Sweet girl.

Almost done.  I still need to add the tree skirt.

Clinic Visits

On November 15th, Zane had his 2nd clinic visit on Maintenance and Zac had labs.  All of Zane's numbers were in the sweet spot so no adjustments to his meds were made.  They decided to bump him up a week so he could be on the same clinic schedule as Zac.

Why play with it when you can wear it.

On December 6th boys boys went into clinic.  Zac's ANC levels were lower than they wanted but still within the range to continue with treatment.  He was to come back in weekly for labs to they can track what his numbers are doing.  Once they get him in the sweet spot we will only have to go in every four weeks.  We are looking forward to that time.

Santa happened to pay a visit to the 7th floor that day so the boys got some new toys from him.  No pictures of the boys with Santa because they wanted nothing to do with him.

Checking out the wall while waiting to see their doctors.

Zac after visiting Santa.  He got a seal and a matchbox toy.

Zane wanted baking supplies from Santa and this was the closest thing we could find for him.

Bowling

Zane has been wanting to go bowling ever since he was diagnosed back in February.  Since we are allowed to do "normal" things now we headed to the local bowling ally.  All three kids were excited to bowl once again.  Zane has even learned how to put a spin on his ball while using the dinosaur ramp.
