Last week and Day 21 of IM

This past week I was able to fly home to El Paso to visit family for a few days (Saturday-Wednesday).  It was a much needed break and I wish I could have spent more time there.  I was able to surprise lots of family members, especially my mom, brother, and niece.  Priceless.  My dad's birthday landed on Father's day so it was nice to spend the day with him and family.  I somehow managed to not take any photos while I was there.  Not like me at all!  A huge thank you to Bob and Kathy (my MIL) for a much needed break.

When I got back we spent a lot of time at the playground, swimming and relaxing around the house.

The boys had their doctors appointments and a round of chemo today.  Their counts went up and their chemistry looks great.  They are still free to enjoy normal activity.  One of the chemo's they get every tens days in this phase really messes with Zane's walking.  He did fine with the first two rounds but today after the third one he's having some weakness.  We would appreciate prayers for his leg strength.

Zoe was not happy to find out grandma had left. (She came out to help Bob with the kids while I was in El Paso.)  She was crying because grandma left her pajamas behind and Zoe wasn't sure how she was going to sleep without them.

Doing Great

The boys had labs, doctors visit and chemo today.  Their labs results look great, so great that they can resume normal activity.  For the next ten days we will be enjoying all the normal things like going to church, eating out, going to the movies, etc.

Sorry for the lack of blog post updates, I have so much to say but as soon as I sit down at the computer words escape me.  I know when the time is right the words will flow.

Once again thank you for all the love and support you have poured onto us.

Zane Made Counts!!

Zane met the requirements today!  We will be going back tomorrow for his day 2 treatment and then both boys will be on the same schedule.  During Interim Maintenance they will be getting treatments every ten days instead of weekly.

Zac Made Counts

Zac met the protocol requirements today and was able to start the next phase. Zane was off by a little so they are going to check him tomorrow since we will be going back for treatment for Zac. If he makes count then he will get to start tomorrow.

Still waiting

Last Tuesday both boys had doctors appointments to see if they met the requirements to start the next phase.  Their ANC levels have to be at 750 or greater.  Neither boy met the requirements.  Zane was at 300 and Zac was at 500.  We are praying both boys make counts tomorrow.
