The 24 hour fast is over and I am now transitioning to the Daniel Fast (or partial fast). During the fast we are asked to pray every time we feel hungry or have a craving. When I think about my hunger or how I would really like a Dr. Pepper I am reminded of people in this world who go hungry on a daily basis. They don't know when their next meal is going to come. Breaks my heart to think about a little child who is constantly hungry.
Today's prayer focus is on family.

One Prayer - Day 1
We just kicked off One Prayer at Fellowship Church along with hundreds of other churches throughout the world. This week we are doing a fast and we have specific things to pray about. This week's message was to engage eternity. Praying God will get me (and all of us believers) out of our comfort zones and talk to people about where they are going to spend eternity.
Just started the fast at 6:30 pm tonight. The first 24 hours are liquid only (water and all natural juices) and then the rest of the week is the Daniel fast. No caffeine (the big one for me), no meat, no dairy, no processed foods. We can eat fruit, vegetables, and foods in their natural state.
I am looking forward to this time of fasting and prayer with my church and all of the other churches involved in this.

One of those mornings....
Last week I was driving to work and I was a little tired so I decided a little fresh air should help me wake up. So I opened up the moon roof and rolled down the back windows. For the life of me I could not figure out why I kept feeling moisture on my head and something kept dropping on the plastic bag making a loud sound. I am puzzled but I keep driving to Starbucks. Surly after I get some caffeine in me I should be able to figure this out. Well I figured it out once I had to turn on my windshield wipers. It was raining.
(Just for the record it had been a long week and I was going on very little sleep. I need my sleep to function!)

Finally some pictures!
After three weeks without taking any pictures I finally took some when we stopped in Kansas to drop off Bob's dad.

80 to 30
Greeting from Nebraska!!
When we left DFW for Nebraska the temperature was 81 degrees. Nice enough to enjoy wearing some cool summer clothing. Fast forward to this morning when we left Lea's house it was 36 degrees! The wind chill was a freezing 24 degrees. Needless to say I did not pack properly for this weekend. Thankfully I packed a sweatshirt and ended up wearing that (instead of my short sleeve top) to Lea's graduation.
