I am currently taking a class at Fellowship Church called Conversatiosn with God. In the first week we learned several key questions to ask ourselves about prayer. Below are a few of my notes.
Why do I pray? To have a conversation with God. The bottom line should not be what I can get but I should pray because I want to know Him better.
How do I pray? We went through Matthew chapter 6 to answer this question. Remember when you pray it is to be addressed to God and not others. We also walked through the different aspects that were modeled for us by Jesus.
Who am I praying to? The way I pray says a lot about how I see God. We shouldn't put God in a box but we should pray to the God we see in the bible.
